This rookie bird happily shorted $Micron Tech(MU.US) during the morning night session and made a few pennies. Then, before my afternoon nap, I did a technical analysis and thought it would continue to fall. I shorted 50 shares and went to sleep peacefully. When I woke up, I realized I was the clown, and left with an angry loss.

I've learned two lessons from the market over the past half month: first, believe early and enter early. No matter whether you think the trend will be long or short next, as long as the trend forms within your tactical system, get in quickly. Take profits when it's about right, and if you hit the stop-loss line, leave without mercy. I now have @Iron Discipline's nickname pinned at the top of WeChat to remind myself constantly.

Second, don't sleep when opening positions, and don't open positions when sleeping. Trust me, it's correct.

I completely understand why the big shots in the stock market who have achieved massive returns refuse to let their descendants touch this stuff; it really causes heartbreak.
