Copper, lithium, and rare earth mining stocks all declined today: Albemarle fell over 6%, MP Materials, Freeport, and gold mining ETFs also dropped, with U.S. Antimony seeing a slight decline. Copper prices also fell about 1.7% today, with commodities generally weak, and the recession narrative is gaining traction🤔.

Interestingly, however: gold ETFs were also down today, but gold mining ETFs actually fell more than gold itself—this divergence has been recurring over this period.

What exactly is the issue on the cost side for mining companies, or is capital shifting from miners to physical gold ETFs?
