The breakup drama between OpenAI and Microsoft is about to begin @naive investor
PRE-IPO documents submitted by OpenAI to investors:
"If Microsoft modifies or terminates its commercial cooperation with us, or if we are unable to successfully diversify our business partners, our business, prospects, operating performance and financial condition may be adversely affected."
Satya Nadella told the Microsoft board:
"Even if OAI disappears tomorrow, there's no need to worry, we have everything we need. All the intellectual property, capabilities, data, computing resources are all there. We are above them, below them, and around them."
45% of Microsoft's cloud business backlog comes from OpenAI's API, but OpenAI just signed a $500 billion contract with Amazon, which violates Azure's exclusive agreement.
Microsoft is now threatening legal action against OpenAI.
