South Korea's MBC television station wins the lawsuit against Bilibili for copyright infringement

The Jiangsu Provincial High People's Court of China partially revised the first-instance judgment in the second instance, determining that Bilibili has the responsibility to assist in the infringement of the intellectual property rights of South Korea's MBC TV station, thus significantly increasing the scope of compensation. South Korea's MBC TV station filed a lawsuit in a Chinese court in 2021, indicating that Bilibili failed to take appropriate measures despite being aware that infringing content was being widely disseminated. The first-instance court found Bilibili liable for infringement, but MBC TV station believed the compensation amount was insufficient and therefore appealed
