Stock Live Trading P162: Trading Stocks and Flirting with Girls

Stock trading and flirting are actually interconnected.

When it comes to flirting, the higher the looks, the higher the tolerance for mistakes. You can chat casually, and even if you come off as a turn-off, the other person will be forgiving. In stock trading, the more capital you have, the higher the tolerance for mistakes. Even if you're stuck buying at a high point, you can lower your average cost by continuously buying more (as long as the stock isn't delisted, you can win). So, handsome guys versus average guys, rich people versus retail investors, it's a game of dimensional reduction.

Like a handsome guy can arrange a meeting with just a dozen lines (often the girl even initiates the invitation). An average guy needs a long-term, slow-burn approach, chatting about daily life every day to build familiarity, and can't say anything out of line. One wrong word and it's a turn-off, and they'll say goodbye. The fate of many Chinese men is to spend a lifetime's savings on one or two women who don't love them. In relationships, there are only 0 and infinity.

For an average man to chase women, for a person with no money to trade stocks, both are extremely low-value, high-risk endeavors. The tragedy is, I'm exactly at this stage. I clearly understand all the complex strategies, I know how to hedge, but I don't have money. Without money, I can only passively hold my position. Now, it's also impossible to play options to win big with small capital. Because big capital is inherently there to sell options, slowly siphoning small capital over time into the hands of big capital. Only when an extreme black swan event occurs can small capital briefly beat big capital. But generally, there are no miracles in the market. If there were miracles, I wouldn't have lost millions, right?

Before, I was essentially playing a medium-to-low difficulty game, but I was too reckless with my own operations and lost. Now, I'm playing an extremely high-difficulty game. My operations probably aren't the problem, like I didn't do anything at all yesterday. But I still lose because there's no room for error left. Stock trading itself is about seeking externally, not internally. You can't say you want to rely on stock trading to make money; you rely on acquiring capital from outside to make your resources more redundant. Only then will your mindset be more stable; you can't possibly cut losses at a critical point, let alone lose. For example, stablecoins, they dropped to 50 yuan, and now they've bounced back to 136 yuan, more than doubling. Why could others hold on? Why couldn't I hold on?

To put it bluntly, for ordinary people to break the deadlock, flirting is about improving looks and making fewer mistakes; stock trading is about acquiring more resources and making fewer mistakes. Only when your resources and numbers go up can strength overcome skill. To truly expect to turn your life around in the stock market by relying on stock trading ability, that probability is extremely low. That's for the rare genius; most people can't do it.

Now I can only be cautious and more cautious; I can't withstand any more blows. In the next few years, I'll just build up strength and wait for the final strike.

Finally, here's an easter egg. Yesterday, a friend forced me, held a knife to my neck to make me close my position. I was forced to clear it, and then today, A-shares rose. Life, it's just so damn frustrating.
