The US just released some data. Their January core PCE price index came in at 3.1%, meeting expectations. However, their Q4 GDP was revised down from 1.4% to 0.7%, indicating the economy isn't doing too well.
I still maintain my view. The market's focus is now on oil prices. As long as oil prices fall, inflation won't be a major issue. I'm relatively optimistic. I believe the extreme high oil prices won't last too long, so I also optimistically predict that the Fed will have at least one or two interest rate cuts this year.
