Some folks asked if $BRK Berkshire Hathaway still counts as a defensive stock? I'll reply here:

Personally, I think it does.

I buy it like I would a money market fund, not expecting huge gains.

But from last year until now, I've made some money trading long call options in waves.

The goal is: Cash + defensive stocks as a two-tier buffer to deal with some black swan events.

Sometimes, long calls on these large-cap stocks with low volatility are more stable and easier to make money on. For example: $Berkshire Hathaway B(BRK.B.US) $Apple(AAPL.US)
