Likes Received$Microsoft(MSFT.US) has already fallen 30% from its high. I added some at 390 and 385.1 today. My current cost basis is 415. If it can reach around 350, I'll add more, and then just wait for a rebound. Too much capital is tied up in Oracle. If there's a chance for a cost-effective swap later, I'll cut some Oracle and switch to Microsoft.
Fortune and misfortune are defined by contrast and comparison. The same goes for stocks. Although I often try to bottom-fish and end up buying halfway down the mountain, it's still better than chasing highs and getting trapped. At least I can lose 20% less. Thinking this way makes being temporarily trapped a bit less painful 😆
As a perennial evergreen tree consistently ranking in the top three of US market cap, Microsoft is the result of countless smart people and top institutions voting with their capital. Even if you don't believe in yourself, you should believe in the choices of smart money.
I'm not worried about Microsoft. It will make me money sooner or later. The prerequisite is that you choose the stock itself and play less with options. Time is a friend to the stock but an enemy to options.
