Traded Value$Intel(INTC.US)$AMD(AMD.US)
Comparing Intel and AMD in terms of sales volume and revenue. AMD's strength lies especially in servers and desktops. Intel's advantage is in laptops. However, laptop sales are far greater than desktop.
As for server products, until 2027, I think the key point is not whose performance is better, or power efficiency, but rather: who has stock. Intel's capacity adjustment is estimated to take one or two quarters, while AMD can temporarily use PC CCDs to package server products. But in the long run, it's difficult to increase capacity. Because TSMC's capacity is already booked through 2027, including a shortage in advanced packaging capacity.
And Intel won't build new factories either; they will convert some client production lines to servers, add equipment to increase capacity, and get their 18A server products to market as soon as possible.
