1. Leveraged ETFs, margin trading, heavy positions at high levels, for example last year's MSTX, the wear and tear may never recover.
2. A sudden thought, 'I think this has risen too much, I need to short it.' Or go long and immediately flip to short, feeling uncomfortable if not shorting. Frequent shorting of U.S. stocks, getting squeezed is just a matter of time.
3. For unfamiliar stocks, not setting key technical stop-loss points, knowing nothing about fundamentals, not even listening to a single earnings call, relying mainly on broker comment sections for information, for example CRCL.
Most people would be better off finding an opportunity to go all-in on an index.
