Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charitable Foundation Supports Food and Nutritional Science Talents for Four Consecutive Years

Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charitable Foundation ("the Foundation") announced its fourth consecutive year of support for outstanding students studying Food and Nutritional Science at The Chinese University of Hong Kong ("CUHK"). The 2025-2026 Nissin Foods Scholarship Award Ceremony was held today, granting scholarships to 11 undergraduate and postgraduate students to recognize their pursuit of academic excellence and their aspirations to become future industry leaders.
The Foundation and CUHK established this scholarship in 2022 to cover the full tuition fees of the awardees for the academic year. The scholarship can be renewed upon annual performance review, aiming to provide financial support to eligible students throughout their study period, ensuring they can focus on their studies without worrying about financial burdens.
The four new scholarship recipients for the 2025-2026 academic year are: Ling Jing and Lu Jiayan from the Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutritional Science program at CUHK, as well as Wu Tao and Zhuang Jingru, who are currently pursuing their Ph.D. degrees. The seven students who received renewed scholarships are: Lin Zhiheng, Cen Huiheng, Liang Qiaowen, Lu Jinxi, and Wang Xiaoyu from the Bachelor of Science program, as well as Zhou Zhengming and Zhou Dandan, who are currently pursuing their Ph.D. degrees.

Professor Chan Tak-cheung, Vice-Chancellor of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Foundation at the ceremony: "CUHK has always been committed to nurturing students with both moral integrity and professional competence, fostering their sense of social responsibility and cultivating future leaders who care for society and have a global vision. The Nissin Foods Scholarship provides strong support for students to pursue their ideals, acquire practical skills, and give back to society with their knowledge. This collaboration fully reflects the industry's support for CUHK's mission and further promotes talent development with a sense of social responsibility to serve Hong Kong and the international community."
Lu Jinxi, a Nissin Foods Scholarship recipient, represented all scholarship recipients in thanking the Foundation for its generous donation to establish the Nissin Foods Scholarship at CUHK. He presented a commemorative booklet jointly created by the 11 awardees to Mr. Kiyotaka Ando. He said: "This scholarship holds profound significance for each of us. Thanks to the generous support of the Foundation, we can focus on our studies, pursue knowledge, and steadily progress toward our academic and career goals. We will uphold the spirit of honesty and integrity, strive for academic excellence, and contribute to society through practical actions."

The Nissin Foods (Hong Kong) Charitable Foundation ("the Foundation") was established in September 2020 by Nissin Foods Company Limited (Stock Code: 1475) in the form of a trust deed.
