Break the formation

Starbucks has taken off. As a long who firmly sang praises at the bottom of 79 yuan, I fell into deep thought. Strictly speaking, my stock-picking logic is flawless—as long as I don’t touch crypto influencers and China concept stocks. What I lack is courage, the courage to buy, and endurance, the endurance to hold. In fact, quality stocks should be held long-term, given the space to reach for the stars, and not sold off at the slightest gain for fear of a pullback. After all, buying stocks isn’t like shopping for groceries at the market, where you sell a 40-cent vegetable for 41 cents—that’s the behavior of aunties. Be a person with vision: buy gold at the price of stones and sell it at the price of gold.

At times like this, stay firm. Once it hits my valuation, I’ll boldly dive in. I don’t need to buy at the absolute bottom; as long as I think it’s cheap enough, the market will eventually correct itself. The correction period is uncertain—maybe ten days, maybe a month—so I’ll buy for two months. If it hasn’t corrected in two months, it’s because the broader market is bad, and we’re all in the same boat. No big deal. Second, block out the noise. No matter what others say, I won’t care. If I think it’s cheap, I’ll buy. To make money in the market, you need unique insight. If everyone agrees it’s good, how can you profit?

To put it bluntly, I’ll buy using a left-side strategy but sell with a right-side mindset, combining the two. I hope the new me can completely change, and I look forward to the market testing my logic in the future. See you at the peak!
