Lisa Su believes that CPUs will have strong growth potential in AI and agent workloads.
"There is more work to be done now, and as things like agent workloads kick off, they will generate more general-purpose CPU demand.
Think about it—if you have, say, 1,000 agents or 1,000 virtual employees, they need to process some datasets. They require a certain level of computing power.
And that requires general-purpose CPUs. Therefore, we believe that as applications of AI truly give rise to more traditional computing applications, the CPU market will grow significantly over the next four to five years."
