2228 Recent major selling pressure:
$XTALPI(02228.HK)
Note that the following data is T+2, meaning it should be from Monday's close. If I recall correctly.
CICC, as of yesterday, there's not much left:
| B01654 | CHINA INTERNATIONAL CAPITAL CORPORATION | 26,893,025 | 2025-05-21 | 0.67 | 79.09 |
The legendary Goldman Sachs has even less left:
| B01451 | GOLDMAN SACHS (ASIA) SECURITIES LTD | 2,087,517 | 2025-05-21 | 0.05 |
Of course, the main buyers are still southbound funds. I personally think it's domestic funds acting in concert:
| 1 | A00003 | CHINA SECURITIES DEPOSITORY AND CLEARING | 529,277,726 | 2025-05-21 | 13.17 | 13.17 |
| 2 | A00004 | CHINA SECURITIES DEPOSITORY AND CLEARING | 507,307,644 | 2025-05-21 | 12.62 | 25.79 |
Practical Tips
Tracking Big Players' Moves: You need to adjust the CCASS "Date +2" back to the actual trading day; otherwise, your judgment on the timing of buying and selling will be off by two days.
Observing Abnormal Changes: If there's a significant change in holdings on a certain day, first check if there were large transactions, block trades, or private placements two days prior.
Holiday Spillover: If it's a weekend or a Hong Kong holiday, settlement is postponed; T+2 may span 3–4 natural days.
In a Nutshell: The CCASS report shows the "settled nominal custody balance," which inherently includes the T+2 time lag and does not reflect the day's transactions in real time. To accurately match the trading day, you need to manually adjust back two trading days and account for holiday postponements.
