Nvidia’s next-gen "Rosa" CPU might adopt TSMC’s A16 (1.6nm) process, media report: While Rosa is expected to be built on TSMC’s 2nm family, it could jump straight to A16 to leverage Super Power Rail—a breakthrough backside power delivery technology that allows more transistor density.

A16 will boost demand for Chemical Metal Planarization (CMP) processes and consumables because the silicon wafers have to be made extremely thin and flat, requiring an extra 15%-30% more CMP polishing steps than N2, which already requires far more than prior nodes.
