$Robinhood(HOOD.US)CEO Vlad Tenev rang the opening bell at the NYSE this morning to mark the launch of Robinhood’s new closed-end $Robinhood Ventures Fund I(RVI.US).

The fund holds stakes in Databricks, Revolut, Mercor, Airwallex, Boom Supersonic, Our & Ramp.

$Robinhood Ventures Fund I(RVI.US) is a publicly traded investment fund that raises a fixed pool of capital via IPO, then invests it in a concentrated portfolio of private "frontier" startups.

Key differences from open-end funds/ETFs: fixed shares (no new issuance/redemptions), trades on exchange like a stock for daily liquidity, but can trade at a premium/discount to NAV since underlying holdings are illiquid privates.

It's $Robinhood(HOOD.US)'s way to let retail investors access VC-style bets without accreditation or high mins. High risk/reward—volatile, no guaranteed dividends.
