
Rumor: Meta has tapped MediaTek to work on a new 2nm chip named “Arke”, aimed at AI inference, with mass production seen in the 1st half of 2027, media report, citing unnamed industry sources. MediaTek declined to comment. Meta’s “Olympus” chip will be revamped as an AI training chip, competing with Nvidia GPUs, and launch in 2028.
