Per AMAT, 3nm chip manufacturing has about 1900 process steps, of which 300 steps are related to materials (deposition, etch etc.). AMAT claims 60%+ material engineering steps are performed on its equipment. FWIW, about 50% of AMAT's foundry/logic exposure is leading-edge today. https://t.co/y9iujOmVAe
