The team at Machina Labs consists of experts from companies such as SpaceX, Relativity Space, Novelis, Carbon, Stratasys, and nTopology, bringing together expertise in technology, materials, and the manufacturing industry. It is a multidisciplinary team composed of robotics experts, material scientists, software engineers, machine learning specialists, mechanical engineers, technicians, and business and operations experts. Machina Labs aims to build the next generation of manufacturing industry through its robotic artisan platform. Machina's Robot Craftsman is an agile manufacturing platform that integrates 7-axis robots, autonomous sheet loading and fixtures, as well as advanced AI process models and closed-loop control. With just a click of a button, many manufacturing processes can be enabled. The robots are capable of immediate tool and sensor changes to perform various operations such as roboforming™, scanning, and trimming of various materials. This platform is constantly upgraded to improve existing functionalities and add new ones.
Machina Labs has designed different business models and product lines to lower entry barriers and create flexibility for various types of companies and product development stages, from concept to production to maintenance. Starting with DEV SUITE for concept validation, prototyping, and new application development, customers can deploy ON PREM systems in Machina Labs' facilities to scale up internal production or enable flexible factory production.
Machina Labs' technology liberates factories from the constraints of traditional manufacturing and adopts software configuration to provide customers with fast and on-demand manufacturing solutions. By combining AI and robotics technology, it can deliver finished products within days, giving customers an unprecedented market time advantage.
According to Machina Labs, their AI factory will be applied in the following areas:
Sam Smith-Eppsteiner, Partner at Innovation Endeavors, said, "Over the past two years, Machina Labs has demonstrated the impact and scalability of its technology in the manufacturing industry, and we are excited about its prospects."
Mohamed Siddeek, Vice President of NVentures, stated, "Machina Labs has made revolutionary breakthroughs in the field of sheet metal forming using advanced computing and robotics technology, which will greatly improve the efficiency of the manufacturing industry."
