EVERGRANDE (03333.HK) creditors will hold a meeting today (28th) at the Maples & Calder law firm in Hong Kong and the British Virgin Islands to vote on the offshore debt restructuring plan. The results will be announced during the court hearings held in Hong Kong, the Cayman Islands, and the British Virgin Islands from September 1st to 6th. The voting was originally scheduled for last week, but EVERGRANDE postponed it to give creditors time to consider the impact of EVERGRANDE Auto's (00708.HK) $500 million sale of 27.5% of its enlarged issued share capital. Earlier this month, EVERGRANDE filed for bankruptcy protection with the U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Manhattan.
