XPeng plans to launch the IRON humanoid robot globally next year, following the path of Tesla and other automakers. The goal is to achieve a monthly production capacity of over 1,000 units by 2027, initially deploying sales assistant robots in domestic stores before expanding overseas. This move aims to transfer AI and autonomous driving technology to the robotics field, promoting business diversification. Morgan Stanley believes the industry is entering a period of accelerated commercialization

According to informed sources, XPeng plans to launch its humanoid robot globally next year, marking an important step in XPeng's transformation into a physical artificial intelligence company, following the development path of Tesla and other high-tech automotive companies.

The sources indicate that the IRON humanoid robot is expected to achieve a monthly production capacity of over 1,000 units by the end of this year, ahead of its global launch in 2027.

Reports suggest that the company plans to first introduce the IRON robot in domestic offline stores in the first quarter of 2027, serving as a sales assistant; later that year, the service will be expanded to overseas stores.

This move highlights XPeng's efforts to transfer its self-developed artificial intelligence and autonomous driving technologies from the electric vehicle sector to the humanoid robot arena. Automotive companies generally believe that large models, perception systems, and motion control technologies have many commonalities in the field of humanoid robots.

In November last year, XPeng officially unveiled the concept of the IRON humanoid robot, which is also part of its overall strategy for physical artificial intelligence. In addition to its core electric vehicle business, the company is also simultaneously developing autonomous taxis and flying cars, advancing its diversified business layout.

Morgan Stanley analysts pointed out in a recent research report that as various companies compete to expand their operational scale, the humanoid robot industry may enter a period of accelerated commercialization this year.

If XPeng can successfully carve out a new business track, it will provide strong support for the company's revenue
