Waymo, a subsidiary of Google, has now opened its autonomous taxi service to all passengers in Miami and Orlando, Florida, ending its previous operation model that was only available to invited users. The company has also begun road testing on highways in Miami, making it the fourth city to offer highway operational services after Phoenix, San Francisco, and Los Angeles. Waymo stated on its official website: "Leveraging Waymo's proven safe and reliable artificial intelligence technology, our universal autonomous driving system can achieve stable deployment across regions. The progress we have made in Miami and Orlando fully demonstrates the scalability of this system, bringing future mobility solutions to more areas and more people."
According to Zhitong Finance APP, Waymo's autonomous taxi service, a subsidiary of Google (GOOGL.US), is now open to all passengers in Miami and Orlando, Florida, ending its previous operation model that was only available to invited users.
