DeepSeek updates GitHub, Wall Street recalls the fear of being dominated: "DeepSeek Second Moment" is coming

DeepSeek has conducted a series of updates on GitHub, sparking market anticipation for its new version V4. The updates mainly focus on projects related to the integration with the DeepSeek API, including AI applications, development tools, and enterprise solutions. The market is anxious about the release of DeepSeek V4, especially after significant fluctuations in tech stocks following previous version releases. Investors have begun to brace themselves, closely monitoring DeepSeek's movements
After the employee holiday, DeepSeek is about to shake things up in the American AI circle again (doge).
Starting from just over a dozen hours ago, DeepSeek's GitHub repository suddenly saw a flurry of updates, merging a bunch of PRs:
The main maintainer is mowentian—one of the authors of the DeepSeekMoE papers, Huang Panpan. His work has triggered a wave of nervous anticipation across the ocean with “Is V4 coming???”.
At the same time, CNBC directly issued a warning: The Nasdaq may welcome the "DeepSeek Second Moment"—
During the "DeepSeek Moment" when DeepSeek V3 and R1 were released, American tech giants, including Nvidia, took a significant hit in the US stock market, with Nvidia's stock price dropping nearly 17% at one point, evaporating $600 billion instantly.

In short, the stock market is already on high alert. So, is DeepSeek V4 really coming this time?
What has been updated in the DeepSeek repository
The updates are concentrated in "awesome-deepseek-integration," a code repository related to DeepSeek API integration.
From the Commits records, the core updates include new integration projects, such as:
- AI applications for clients, like LobeChat, BibiGPT, etc.;
- Development and operation tools, like SkyPilot, DeepSeek Alfred WorkFlow, etc.;
- Enterprise-level and industry solutions, like Bytedesk, WeChat RPA intelligent customer service, etc.
Additionally, the maintainer has made some formatting and API address-related fixes.
It looks like this update is akin to a "spring cleaning" by DeepSeek engineers after returning from the Spring Festival holiday, as there was quite a bit of work piled up from PR#121 to PR#536...
From another perspective, this also indicates that there are still a large number of third-party tools integrating the DeepSeek API.
Anticipating V4
It is unlikely to glean any clues about V4 from this repository change, but to be honest, the global AI circle felt a bit off without DeepSeek during this year's Spring Festival updates.
On February 11, the two major model twins in the Hong Kong stock market, Zhipu and Minimax, came with GLM-5 and MiniMax 2.5, while iFLYTEK also released Spark X2. On February 13th, ByteDance updated the Doubao large model 2.0 amidst the phenomenal spread of Seedance 2.0.
_ (I don't know if you all used Doubao's video generation during the Spring Festival, but I was honestly going crazy waiting in line)_
Even on New Year's Eve, there were still programs, Alibaba launched Qwen3.5-Plus...
However, the first to stir up the Spring Festival box office, that DeepSeek, seems to have happily gone on vacation after a small update before the holiday (?)
Regardless, for DeepSeek V4, it is now in a state of great anticipation.

We'll see what surprises it brings on the first few days after the New Year.
