
Storage "surge" continues

Wells Fargo data shows that the spot price of DDR4 rose approximately 23% week-on-week (DDR5 rose 1%); the average quarter-on-quarter increase in the fourth quarter was 139%, with December contract prices for PC DRAM rising about 8% and server DRAM rising about 11%. In terms of USD/Gb, they expect contract prices in the fourth quarter to increase approximately 65% quarter-on-quarter and 175% year-on-year. The shrinkage rate of TLC chips increased by 64% month-on-month in December and 110% quarter-on-quarter in the fourth quarter
