
Jack Ma, Alibaba, and ANT GROUP jointly donated HKD 60 million to support Hong Kong

On the afternoon of November 26, a Level 5 fire broke out at Hongfu Garden in Tai Po, Hong Kong, resulting in significant casualties and losses, prompting swift support from all sectors of society.
On November 27, Alibaba Group initiated its first batch of donations amounting to HKD 20 million to support fire rescue efforts in Hong Kong, as well as subsequent transitional housing, supply of living materials, and emotional counseling.
At the same time, Alibaba Group has activated its emergency disaster response mechanism, with its subsidiary Cainiao and other businesses mobilizing emergency supplies such as food and bedding from the nearest locations to send to the disaster area, helping residents in need to get through the tough times.
Alibaba Group expressed deep condolences to the victims of the fire, sincere sympathy to all affected families and communities, and high respect to every rescue hero who bravely stepped forward. "Alibaba will continue to pay attention to the follow-up disaster relief efforts and cooperate with all parties to assist in the resettlement of disaster victims. We wish the affected residents safety and hope for a swift recovery of their lives."
Meanwhile, the Jack Ma Foundation has also donated HKD 30 million to support Hong Kong, providing financial assistance to affected families and individuals.
ANT GROUP and the Hong Kong enterprise AlipayHK have made an initial donation of HKD 10 million for emergency rescue, transitional housing, and supply of living materials for affected residents. It is understood that AlipayHK's homepage has opened a special assistance channel to facilitate Hong Kong citizens' participation in charitable organizations' rescue projects at the earliest opportunity
