According to media reports on January 16, Kuai Technology stated that Tesla plans to suspend some production lines at its Shanghai factory for about three weeks during the Spring Festival to optimize equipment and prepare for the refreshed Model Y production.
It is reported that Tesla's shutdown aims to adjust the production lines more efficiently to cope with the increase in Model Y output.
The Model Y production line will be shut down from January 22 to February 14, while the Model 3 production line will be shut down from January 26 to February 3.
The refreshed Model Y has started pre-sales on January 10, with prices increasing by 12,000 to 13,600 yuan compared to the old version, and deliveries are expected to begin in March.
The limited edition will be sold until February 28, and pre-order users will receive a 2-year/40,000-kilometer extended warranty service and several exclusive badge identifiers.
