Uber has launched a new airport shuttle service called UberXXL before the holidays, designed for passengers who need oversized vehicles, suitable for large families carrying a lot of luggage. The service is now available at over 60 airports worldwide, with fares between UberXL and Uber Black. In addition, Uber has introduced the airport UberX Share program, offering a more affordable travel option, and emphasized the Uber Reserve feature to help passengers easily arrange pickup services
According to Zhitong Finance APP, Uber (UBER.US) announced new customer features ahead of the busy holiday season. Currently, Uber has rolled out this new service at over 60 airports worldwide, with more airports to come in the future. In terms of pricing, the fares for UberXXL will be between those of UberXL and Uber Black.
The company also stated that its airport UberX Share program will provide travelers with a brand new, more affordable, and easier travel option. Airport UberX Share will launch today at Austin, Denver, New York, Washington D.C., Miami, New Orleans, Phoenix, San Francisco airports, as well as Amsterdam and Madrid international airports, with more airport services to be introduced in the future.
Additionally, the Uber Reserve feature has been highlighted for easily arranging airport pickup and drop-off services. "If there are flight delays, our flight tracking feature will notify passengers and ask if they would like to adjust their airport pickup times accordingly."
