Microsoft releases Copilot Pages to integrate more AI features into flagship products
Microsoft has launched a new feature called Copilot Pages, aiming to provide an AI-powered collaborative platform for enterprises. This feature allows team members to collaborate in real-time editing and interact with the Copilot chatbot. Microsoft has also integrated Copilot functionality into Microsoft 365 applications, allowing users to use these new features in Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and other applications. Additionally, Microsoft has introduced Copilot Agent and Copilot Studio to help enterprises build custom agents to enhance work efficiency
According to Zhitong Finance, Microsoft (MSFT.US) has announced the "Wave 2 of Copilot" project, where the company will further integrate artificial intelligence capabilities into its main products. Microsoft announced on Monday the launch of a new feature called Copilot Pages, aiming to be a platform for multi-person AI collaboration. Copilot Pages allows users to collaborate with others by using Microsoft's Copilot chatbot and adding its responses to a new page for editing together.
Jared Spataro, Vice President of Artificial Intelligence at Microsoft, stated, "You and your team can work together on a page with the help of Copilot, viewing everyone's work in real-time, and collaborating with Copilot like a partner to add more content from your data, files, and the web to the page. This is a new way of working - a multi-person, human-machine interactive work mode."
Microsoft has also added Copilot features to its Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Word, OneDrive, and Outlook. Users of Microsoft 365 Copilot can start using these new features today. Other users will receive access in the coming weeks.
Microsoft has also introduced Copilot agents for all businesses. Copilot Studio can now be used to build custom agents. The company stated, "They can reason, be trained, and even know when to seek help. Some are fully autonomous and can coordinate with other agents. These agents can extract valuable data from SharePoint, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or your business systems, and help Copilot become smarter about your business and its processes. You can also expand their capabilities by equipping them with new skills, such as sending emails, updating records, or creating support tickets. This is just the beginning of the second wave. In the next two months, we have more to show you."
