JD LOGISTICS released its mid-year performance for 2024 yesterday, with total revenue reaching 86.3 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11%. Revenue from external customers amounted to 59.9 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 11.2%, accounting for approximately 70% of total revenue; adjusted net profit was 3.12 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 2631.2%, achieving a new record high in profitability, significantly exceeding market expectations.
Meanwhile, ANE Logistics (09956) announced its mid-year performance for the six months ended June 30, 2024. The group achieved revenue of 5.289 billion yuan during the period, a 16.2% year-on-year increase; adjusted net profit was 430 million yuan, an 82.4% year-on-year increase; attributable net profit to shareholders was 391 million yuan, a 145.11% year-on-year increase; basic earnings per share were 0.34 yuan.
He Hui, Chief Economist of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing, believes that in July, the growth rate slowed down due to high temperatures and local floods, but business demand continues to grow, and the expansion trend is still ongoing.
The industry's development trend is generally stable, with the total business volume index of railway transportation, road transportation, air transportation, warehousing and logistics, handling and postal express services all in the prosperous range.
The expected index remains at a high level, reflecting companies' optimistic expectations for the third quarter and the second half of the year.
