Meta deletes around 63,000 Facebook accounts related to ransom fraud in Nigeria

Meta announced that it has removed around 63,000 Facebook accounts in Nigeria, which were attempting to engage in financial extortion scams primarily targeting adult males in the United States. The company stated that it has utilized a range of new technological signals to help identify extortion attempts
