TrendForce: Estimated AI server revenue will reach USD 187 billion in 2024

According to the latest report from research firm TrendForce, this year, large CSPs (cloud service providers) continue to focus their budgets on purchasing AI servers, squeezing the growth momentum of general-purpose servers. Compared to the high growth rate of AI servers, the annual growth rate of general-purpose servers is only 1.9%. The proportion of AI servers in the overall server shipments is estimated to reach 12.2%, an increase of about 3.4 percentage points from 2023. In terms of revenue, the contribution of AI servers to revenue growth is significantly higher than that of general-purpose servers. It is estimated that the revenue of AI servers will reach $187 billion in 2024, with a growth rate of 69%, accounting for as much as 65% of the overall server revenue
