Since August 2020, the U.S. bond bear market has lasted for 47 months, with the largest pullback reaching 17.2%.
This historically long bear market has occurred against the backdrop of the Federal Reserve's tightening cycle and the massive fiscal stimulus in the United States since the pandemic. Currently, there are no signs of any contraction in the U.S. fiscal deficit.
It is worth noting that prior to this, there was a 40-year bull market in the U.S. bond market.
