Empowering with technology

More than a year after proposing to achieve a revenue of 1 trillion by 2030 and become a world-class technology company, GAC's trillion-dollar blueprint is gradually becoming clear.
On April 25th, at the Beijing Auto Show, GAC Group's General Manager Feng Xingya announced the "Smart Move 2027" action plan, aiming to advance towards the goal of autonomous driving.
Specifically, GAC plans to use three years to build on three major technologies: the GAC AI Big Model Platform, Xingling Electronic Electrical Architecture, and Intelligent Connected Big Data Platform. Supported by intelligent ecology, R&D investment, and talent, GAC aims to lead in product experience and travel scenarios, providing intelligent support for "Trillion GAC."
As the core of intelligence, Feng Xingya also revealed a series of autonomous driving goals, including the mass production of GAC L3 autonomous driving technology next year. As one of the first domestic enterprises to apply for L3 autonomous driving access, the Haobo model equipped with L3 autonomous driving technology is undergoing testing in Guangzhou; by 2026, mass production of L3+ autonomous driving with broader usage scenarios; in 2027, the launch of user-oriented L4 autonomous driving and mass production.
It is worth mentioning that as an early adopter of vehicle networking technology, GAC Group had already developed the first domestically produced and delivered L2+ model in 2019. In addition, the L2++ level NDA function based on "multi-sensor fusion" technology has been installed on the Haobo model and plans to achieve nationwide coverage by 2024.
GAC seems to have laid the groundwork for the "Smart Move 2027" action plan.
On April 12th, GAC released the first domestic map-free pure visual autonomous driving system - the Garcia Intelligent Driving System, and set a goal for comprehensive mass production by spring 2026.
Furthermore, GAC has been intensively collaborating with leading companies in various fields to accelerate the commercialization of L4 autonomous driving.
On April 7th, Aian's joint venture company with Didi's autonomous driving was approved, planning to launch the first commercial L4 model next year, with the first model already defined.
And not long before that, on March 19th, at the NVIDIA GTC conference, Nvidia and Aian's high-end new energy brand Haobo announced that they would jointly mass-produce L4 vehicles, collaborating in high-performance computing, intelligent driving technology, and deep learning. The new car will be equipped with NVIDIA DRIVE Thor dual chips and will be mass-produced in 2025.
On the other hand, since 2024, as the competition among car manufacturers intensifies and the industry consolidates, GAC has also felt the pressure.
The first quarter report shows that GAC achieved sales of 403,000 and 410,000 vehicles respectively, with total operating income of approximately 21.566 billion yuan and a net profit attributable to the parent company of approximately 1.22 billion yuan.
At this juncture, if GAC can smoothly ride the wave of autonomous driving, solidify its technological moat, it not only has the potential to achieve its goal of 10% annual sales growth but also accelerate its transformation and break through the encirclement By then, GAC Group will further advance its grand blueprint of "Trillion GAC"
