Would you buy a $300,000 "flying car"? Space X also has an eVTOL now.

The electric vertical take-off and landing aircraft (eVTOL) is highly favored by the capital market and technology giants, and is expected to become an important way of urban air transportation in the future. Several emerging companies are fiercely competing in this field, trying to seize the opportunity.

Alef Aeronautics' eVTOL, Alef Aeronautics, invested by SpaceX founded by Musk, is currently leading in the eVTOL field. The company's two-seater aircraft, Model A, has obtained a special airworthiness certificate from the Federal Aviation Administration and is expected to be commercialized in 2025, with a price as high as $300,000, equivalent to over 2 million RMB. It has received 2,850 orders, with a corresponding order size of over $850 million, making it the best-selling eVTOL in history.

Alef Aeronautics CEO Duhovny has high hopes for Model A, believing that it will be the world's first truly "flying car" product. Model A can not only drive on the road like a regular car but also take off and land vertically, using eight thrusters to fly at a top speed of 177 km/h.

In addition to Model A, Alef Aeronautics also plans to launch the four-seater flying car, Model Z, by 2035, with an expected starting price of only $35,000, making flying travel more popular.

Despite being in the lead, Alef Aeronautics also faces competition from other companies. Joby Aviation, Lilium, and other companies are actively laying out the flying taxi market and establishing partnerships with airlines.

Joby Aviation has announced that it will start mass production of a four-seater electric tilt-rotor aircraft capable of carrying passengers in Ohio from 2025, with a top speed of 200 miles per hour; Lilium's eVTOL product will target the group flying market of over five people, with a range of about 300 kilometers.
