New Secretary of the Board of Directors Appointed at Bank of China: "Everything is Clear"

On January 26th, BANK OF CHINA announced that the company held its first board meeting of 2024, during which it agreed to appoint Zhuo Chengwen as the board secretary and company secretary.

Zhuo Chengwen's appointment as the board secretary will take effect after the qualification is approved by the China Banking and Insurance Regulatory Commission.

According to his resume, Zhuo Chengwen was born in 1970. He graduated from Peking University in 1995 with a master's degree in economics and obtained a master's degree in business administration from the City University of New York in 2005. He is a registered accountant in mainland China and Hong Kong.

Zhuo Chengwen joined BANK OF CHINA in 1995 and has held various positions, including Deputy General Manager of BANK OF CHINA, Deputy General Manager of Financial Management Department of BANK OF CHINA, and Financial Director of BOC HONG KONG.

From December 2014 to June 2016, he served as the General Manager of the Financial Management Department of BANK OF CHINA.

From June 2016 to November 2019, he served as the Executive President and Executive Director of China CITIC Insurance Co., Ltd.

From November 2019 to February 2021, he served as the Risk Director of BOC HONG KONG.

Since May 2021, he has been the Chief Auditor of BANK OF CHINA, and since January 2022, he has also served as the General Manager of the Audit Department of BANK OF CHINA.
