Microsoft launches personal version of Copilot Pro subscription service, priced at $20 per month, allowing users to access Office AI features.

Introducing Copilot Pro for Personal Use!

On Monday, January 15th, Microsoft officially released Copilot Pro, which means that individual users can now start using AI-powered Office features, just like enterprises. With Copilot Pro, users can access AI features in Office software, have priority access to the latest OpenAI models, and even build their own Copilot GPT.

Specifically, Copilot Pro supports the following services:

• AI Features in Office

The most important aspect is the liberation of productivity.

With Copilot, users can utilize AI features in Office through a chatbot-like interface. By inputting language commands, you can generate a complete set of PowerPoint slides, generate Word paragraphs, rephrase text passages, analyze Excel data and generate charts, and even automate email replies.

It can be said that Copilot Pro can do everything that the previous Enterprise version could do.

Furthermore, Copilot Pro can run on almost any device, including PC, Mac, and iPad.

However, Copilot Pro does not support Microsoft's Graph technology, so it cannot perform data linkage operations similar to "generating PowerPoint based on Word content" by summoning Copilot.

• Access to the Latest OpenAI Models and Building Copilot GPT

Copilot Pro users have priority access to OpenAI's latest models (GPT-4 Turbo), allowing for faster performance during peak hours and quick switching between models.

After the epic update of Copilot Enterprise mentioned here, the most useful advanced data analysis features in ChatGPT are also expected to be synchronized.

In addition, users can also build their own Copilot GPT on Microsoft's upcoming tool, Copilot GPT Builder, allowing for personalized customization of the Copilot software.

The Copilot Pro subscription plan also includes the use of Designer's AI image generation feature.

Currently, the subscription fee for Copilot Pro is $20 per person per month, while the enterprise version subscription fee, launched in early November, is $30 per person per month.

However, if you have not subscribed to Microsoft 365 Personal or Home edition before, you will not be able to experience the AI features of the Office software. In other words, if you want to use the AI features in the Office software, the actual monthly subscription fee will be at least $53.

Currently, according to the technology media The Verge, the Copilot Pro service is mainly aimed at advanced users of Copilot, similar to the ChatGPT subscription launched by OpenAI. Divya Kumar, Microsoft's Global Marketing Director for Search and AI, said:

"These advanced users have a lot of needs. They want faster access to the latest models, they want faster performance, and they want creative tools."

In addition to individual users, Microsoft is also trying to extend the availability of Copilot to more enterprise users. Microsoft has opened up some software features in the Office 365 E3 and E5 subscription plans, which previously required a subscription to Microsoft 365.

Furthermore, Microsoft is expanding its free Copilot service features.
